Junior High Personality....Gee Something to Aspire To..NOT!

It is amazing how there are many adults that surround us that are trapped in the mentality they displayed when they were 12-14 years old....the JHS years. Was it really a time in thier life that they enjoyed that much that they can't let go of the maturity level of a confused teenager?? Speaking for myself, I am so happy that those years are over. We all know it...the years where if you got mad at someone you flamed them, gave them the silent treatment, walk in the other direction when you saw the said person coming, got upset when your friend spoke to the said person. made up false stories about them and talked about them behind thier back and never felt bad for doing so. You know, the signs of immaturity. That is why it shocks me that there are adults among us that still act this way.

This past weekend 2 adults made me shake my head in resignation, for there is nothing I could do to help these individuals. I am sure that they have heard the saying "Think before you speak" countless times. As I am sure they have heard "Do unto others, as you would like to be done unto you". They obviously haven't learned, or refuse to take the words to heart.

What baffles me the most is that these individuals drive people away from them and then wonder why. Or if they don't wonder why, they drum up the same circle of activity which got them ostracized to begin with. The same vicious circle continues. Will they one day realize that Junior High School is over and done with and that now it is time to start acting and behaving like an adult? Or will they be trapped there forever???
