Weekend Recap

It seems as though we have been running nonstop for the past 5 days! But, boy, hasn't it been fun!

Yesterday the four of us got up, ate breakfast, got showered and dressed and headed up to CT. Chris and Leilani settled in the back with thier choice of DVD movies to watch for the almost 3 hour ride. Where we were we going you ask? Why to Niko's first birthday party, of course! Niko, is the adorably handsome little boy of my dear friend and scrapping chic buddy, Jenn. Leilani is madly in love with the little guy, and I have to add we are too. He had an amazingly adorable Pooh themed birthday with a clown/pooh and all (although we all agreed the clown/pooh was rather scary! LOL). Of course, like all times when you are having fun, the hours flew by! We took the hike back down to our lovely little home on the Jersey Shore and after having a quick bite to eat, headed straight to bed. We had to rest up for our Sunday adventure.....

Six Flags, Great Adventures that is! The alarm rose us from our slumber and we ready and out the door in no time at all. We always look forward to Girl Scout Days at Great Adventures. The park is never packed and we get to enjoy the rides several times with little or no wait. We arrived early in order to go through the Wild Safari. It was so much fun! A giraffe decided to "taste" our windshield to see if it was good enough to eat for breakfast. And we oohed and aahed at all the adorable baby additions to the safari. We loved the baby bears best! Chris wanted to take one home! LOL

We topped off the afternoon by enjoying some funnel cakes drizzled with strawberry preserve....YUM! We then made our way back home in order to relax and reminisce on the wonderfully fun filled Spring Break we had. Tomorrow it is back to school, back to work, and back to the whirlwind delightfulness that is our life! Only 7 more weeks to go and we will be ringing in the lazy days of summer....
