Finally Recovered....

from the busy week!

Although school was out on Wednesday, I still had "school year" related things to attend to. Namely, Leilani's dress rehearsals. Since she took 3 classes this year, we were not gauranteed that all three classes would meet for dress rehearsal at the same time. Of course, with my luck, they didn't. No matter. Except for a slight delay both days, they both went on uneventfully.

Saturday was spent in New York. First, picking up my Mom from her friends house in the Bronx, and then visiting with Brenda and baby Sebastian. He is absolutely adorable! It felt so yummy being able to hold a newborn. My Mom jokingly told Mike while he was holding him if he wanted another, we both said in unison, Oh no. LOL We love babies, don't get us wrong. But they are a huge responsibility, alot of work, and take alot of money to raise properly. We love babies like Sebastian....we get to hold them, kiss them, play with them, and then a few hours later, we give them right back to thier mommies! LOL

Sunday was the day we had all been waiting for. Leilani's dance recital! Each year we are blown away by the show. This year was no different. We can definitely see the growth in Leilani from one recital to the next. She did amazing. We are so proud of her!

Leilani had to perform in all 3 shows, which meant we were at the theater all day....from 8:30am through 7:40pm. We were exhausted by the time it was all over. We couldn't wait to get home. We stopped for gas and for coffee at Dunkin Donuts on the way home and just plopped ourselves down in front of the sofa the minute we walked in the door.

And we have been recovering ever since! Except for the quick run to swim classes each afternoon, we have been taking it easy. We can finally say that we are on summer vacation.

It's amazing to see how much progress they learn from year to year! I'm glad the recitals went off without a hitch, and you had some fun, quality time with your family!
