Back Home From A Weekend in CT

We arrived home safe and sound about 3 hours ago. We went to CT for the weekend to visit with my lil (yet taller) brother, Raul and his family. We had a great time as always.

Initially we wanted to get on the road at about 10am, but of course that didn't happen. We had a bit of a slow start and of course I wanted to make sure the house was spic and span for our return. So we hit the road at a little before 12pm. We stopped for lunch at Burger King at about 1pm, but decided to eat it on the road. We did great time and arrived in CT at 2:30pm.

Poor Chrissy-poo lost her voice so the whole visit I felt like I was yelling at her while she whispered at me, LOL. We did our gift exchange and everyone loved thier goodies. Chis and Lei each recieved Nintendo DS games (HS Musical for Lei, Superman for Chris). Mike recieved The Bourne Identity movies 1 & 2. They gave me the new Celine Dion CD and a beautiful blue turtleneck sweater with a matching necklace.

While Jonathan entertained the kids with video games upstairs, Mike and I watched SuperBad with Raul and Christine. OMG it was hilarious. Definitely NOT a movie for children to watch! I wouldn't even recommend it to teens. Id say you have to be at least 16, maybe 17 to watch it. You've been warned...LOL.

The rest of the evening we spent at Target where Mike and I finally scored the camera for Grandma Auri! YES!!!! Then we returned and ate a pizza dinner and played with the Catch Phrase music edition game we gave to Jonathan for Christmas. Raul uploaded some more songs on my IPOD and we called it a night.

This morning we woke up at about 9:30am, and just lounged around, ate breakfast and met Raul's friend and his girlfriend. Two sweeties for sure! Then we reluctantly had to say goodbye. We had to go to the Bronx to pick up Christopher's bed and grandma and grandpa and make it back home before the wind and rain storm hit us. We made it in the nick of time!

Now it is time to relax and take a deep breath before the whirlwind of Christmas activities officially starts! Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!
