Weekend Whirls By In a Blur...

Why is it that the weekends always go by so fast?? It seems that some weekdays can drag but Saturday and Sunday....Nope...In light speed! This weekend was wonderful! We spent it outdoors for the most part and it was spent seeing close friends that we haven't seen in a long while. With the exception of not seeing Nina Brenda this weekend(Leilani's Godmother), Leilani and Christopher spent the weekend catching up with their Godparents! LOL

Saturday morning, after breakfast and lounging around, we cleaned up, got dressed and took the drive up to Northern Jersey to Vicky and Jake's house. Christopher was so happy that he was going to be able to spend time with his Nina Vicky and his godbrother Jake. Even more so, he was ecstatic that his Godfather Medard and his baby Godbrother Dylan and Kristine were going to meet us there too! The kids spent most of the day playing on their swing set and I spent most of the time doting on baby Dylan! Babies are so adorable! Vicky showed me some tivoed episodes of Bridzilla and Extreme Weddings. I saw an episode of a Russian bride that was remarrying her husband who she had divorced and spent $850,000 on her wedding. $850,000!!!!! Almost a million on extreme gaudiness and tastelessness. Too funny seeing what people with money spend their fortune on. LOL Vicky ended up letting me borrow toms of books from her library! I started one and can't wait to read the rest.

Sunday was Family Day at the racetrack! Jeffrey, Leilani's Godfather, and Matthew met us there. The children had a great time...And I would have too if it wasn't that the racetrack was so packed for a major race. Mike didn't realize it till Thursday, but the plans were set. We spent 2 hours there and decided that we would go back home to do food shopping and go to Target. We did some of Leilani's school shopping there. She was so excited to start getting things together for school. It makes it more real for her. 4 more weeks till school commences!

Mondays are my slow day. It is a day when I can get my house back in tip top shape ad I can just lounge and relax. Nothing planned for today. Which is good too since Leilani has dance in the afternoon. Planning on making enchiladas for dinner and settling in with a good book while Mike tinkers on the computer and the kids play! Monday Monday!
