Girl Scouts Winding Down....

Wow, it's June already! Lei and Chris have 2 more weeks of school, (which I could say the same for myself!) and I finish up on the 28th. Spanish classes are over for the year, there are 3 more dance classes left before recital, and one more girl scout meeting to go. We really can't say it is a meeting persay since it is their last day of girl scouts party. They are so looking forward to it!

Yesterday was thier End of the Year Trip. They decided as a troop to go to have a Gymnastics party. There is an awesome place close by that is very reasonable and which many of the girls have visited before. They eagerly anticipated the event! One thing for sure, they had a BLAST!!! By the time it was over they were all full from thier pizza and drinks and thoroughly exhausted. Two of the 16 girls didn't show up. One we later found out totally forgot the event the other's mom wasn't feeling well. All in all we had a great time.

The girls are looking forward to September where they have lots of new and exciting things in store (most exciting one is camping). We are expecting 15 girls in the troop. (The girl I talked about earlier in the year will be going to a small troop where she can get more attention and won't feel lost in the size of our troop). This will be thier last year as Brownies so they are also looking forward to bridging to Juniors at the end of the next girl scout season.
